Share mobility needs
Tell the groomer about standing tolerance, stairs, past injuries and areas that should be handled carefully. Medical advice must come from the dog’s veterinarian.
Lower-stress visit planning
An in-home visit can remove the car ride and busy salon waiting room, but age, mobility, temperament and medical needs still require an honest conversation before grooming begins.
Tell the groomer about standing tolerance, stairs, past injuries and areas that should be handled carefully. Medical advice must come from the dog’s veterinarian.
Explain triggers, prior grooming experiences, bite history and what helps the dog settle. Complete disclosure protects the dog and the grooming team.
Comfort may require a shorter visit, a modified service or stopping early. The groomer will make that decision in real time.
Before the appointment
Dani’s will decide which dogs can be served safely, when veterinary input is needed and when a visit should be declined or stopped. Sedation and medical treatment are not grooming services.
Questions to settle before booking
No. Removing travel and salon activity may help some dogs, but individual responses vary. The groomer must assess safety and comfort before and during the visit.
Call or text Dani’s to discuss what helps the individual dog and whether nearby observation is appropriate for the visit.
Share mobility limitations, diagnosed conditions, medications relevant to handling, seizure or fainting history, bite history and recent changes. The groomer may recommend veterinary clearance.
Schedule an in-home visit
